MODULE 2: MicroVisionComposite + RUBBERDAMology

Direct composite restorations for anterior and posterior teeth, composite veneers + RUBBERDAMology

BOOK PLACE

This program of microscope driven composite restorations is created according to all modern, understandable and time-saving techniques of direct bonding.

Full assisted step-by-step protocols, different approaches and techniques, simplification and only practical nuances of direct restorations.

You will learn all secrets, tips and tricks of:

RUBBERDAMology and secrets of isolation

Direct Anterior Composites

Direct Posterior Composites

Semi-direct composite veneer and “copy-paste” technique

3 days workshop

Speaker: Maksym Bilograd

DAY 1. RUBBERDAMology and Anterior Composite Veneer (“Copy-Paste” technique)

LECTURE COMPONENT (30 min):

The secrets of Isolation and simplified time-saving composite veneering approach

• Rubberdamology

• Basic and advanced equipment for isolation

• Classic protocols of isolation in operative dentistry (endo | resto | prostho)

• Knots, teflon, retraction cord for 100% result

• Clamp modification

• Difficult cases and solutions

• Split-dam overview for different tasks

• “Copy-paste” technique: when and how

• Transparent silicone and how to transfer wax-up into final composite restoration

HANDS-ON COMPONENT (REST TIME)

The workshop is about how  to provide extreme comfortable isolation during restorative procedures and fabricate composite veneer in fast and easy way.

Powerful guide to step-by-step techniques consist of:

1. ISOLATION EXERSISE

• Classic isolation

• Clamp choice

• Split dam

• Additional isolation: flosses, Teflon, retraction cords, silicon

2. COMPOSITE VENEER EXERSISE

• Transparent silicone impression

• Preparation for composite veneer

• “Copy-paste” technique

• Cut-back technique

• Bonding of semi-direct composite veneer

The participants will progress through exercises including isolation of anterior and posterior dentitions with semi-direct composite veneer approach

AGENDA

10.00 – 10.30 Lecture

10.30 – 12.30 Demo (isolation and composite veneer)

12.30 – 13.30 Lunch

13.30 – 17.30 Hands-on session by participants with microscope

DAY 2. MicroVision Anterior Composite

LECTURE COMPONENT (30 min):

Modern techniques in direct resin restoration for anterior teeth.

• Direct or indirect way: the common dilemma and how to solve it

• The choice of material according to clinical situation

• Minimal invasion – maximum result

• Direct resin restoration. Simplified and advanced techniques

• Simple and predictable protocol of color determination

• Photo protocol: tricks with flashes, filters and settings

• Layering: from advanced to simplified

• Finishing and polishing: life-like macro and micro texture

• Mistakes correction

HANDS-ON COMPONENT (REST TIME)

The main aim of this workshop is to learn how to create extremely esthetically direct restoration of frontal teeth.

Powerful guide of step-by-step techniques consist of:

• microscope usage during prep proceeding

• micro ergonomics

• preparation

• getting silicon index

• layering and reproducing of internal and external anatomy

• playing with shades and tints

• finishing and polishing

The participants will progress through exercises including class 4 restoration using polychromatic shade and tints under the microscope

AGENDA

10.00 – 10.30 Lecture

10.30 – 12.30 Demo (direct anterior composite restoration)

12.30 – 13.30 Lunch

13.30 – 17.30 Hands-on session by participants with microscope

DAY 3. MicroVision Posterior Composite

LECTURE COMPONENT (30 min):

Modern techniques in direct resin restoration for posterior teeth.

• Direct or indirect way: the common dilemma and how to solve it

• Modern hysto-anatomic and structural analysis

• BioMechanics

• Cavities classification and choosing the proper technique for restoration

• Class I restoration: classic approach (preparation, layering, characterization, finishing and polishing)

• Class I restoration: simplified approach (“bio_copy” and “copy-paste” techniques)

• Class II restoration: classic approach (preparation, matrix and wedge selection, ring customization, additional isolation, layering, finishing and polishing)

• Class II restoration: ridge preservation (injection-molded technique, slice preparation, matrix adaptation, tunnel-technique)

HANDS-ON COMPONENT (REST TIME)

The main aim of this workshop is to learn how to create minimal-invasive, esthetic and functional direct restoration for posterior teeth.

Powerful guide to step-by-step techniques consist of:

• micro ergonomics

• isolation nuances for posterior restorations
